FAT INJECTION

In order to give fullness to the desired regions of the body and face, the injection of oil into the zone is called oil injection. Areas such as cheeks, lips, forehead, jaw, jaw, hip and flank areas, such as cheek – lip line, are examples of areas where oil injection is applied.

Where do you get oil for oil injection?

Special liposuction injectors, as well as the fat taken from the fat, hip and waist region, where the oil intake is often done. Liposuction can be used for injections, even from oils of the patient’s arm and leg area, even oils from patients’ detention bags in eyelid aesthetic operations.

How is Oil Injection done?

Often the oil injection made under the name of local sedation may also be the stage of an operation that is sometimes performed under general anesthesia. It is the case that the cheeks are filled with oil injection while performing face lift. The oil is injected into the region to be transferred after the oil is transferred through a suitable process such as washing, centrifuging and so on.

Does the Oil Injection Provide a Permanent Fullness?

The more fat cells transferred, the more successful and permanent the oil injection becomes. Some of the devices that have been used recently can transfer the oil to the relevant region without contact with air. Tissue loss is less at this rate and this prolongs the retention time of the transferred oils.

This is why the oil injection process is superior to the filling process with hyaluronic acid fillings. The extent to which the viability of the fat cells can be preserved varies depending on the type of fat transfer, the surgical material used in the operation, and the transfer of the oils from various operations.

The average rate of sustained fat retention during the 6-month period is 40% on average. This sometimes requires the repetition of oil injection. The regions where the injection success rate is higher are the still regions. For example, oil injection into the cheek area is more successful than moving areas such as arms and legs.

Which Zone Where Oil Injection Is Most Applied?

The face region is the region where oil injection is most commonly performed. In the face region; injections can be made for different purposes, such as thickening of the lips, filling of the cheekbones, enlargement of the lower jaw, and removal of the wrinkles at the mouth by filling.

In addition, oil injections for reheating can be performed before the planned operation. The fact that the cheekbones are very ambiguous can be pre-proofed for the results of the ill-conceived fat injection procedure. If satisfactory results are obtained, the fat will permanently lose its permanence and the implant will be permanently implanted.

Oils; It is also often used to correct the shape of the hips and deformations from previous liposuction procedures. In addition, fat injections can be easily used in the treatment of depressions caused by some accidents.

Breast Enlargement with Oil Injection

Oil injection can be done for chest enlargement at selected occasions. Especially in women who do not want their breasts to be too big, it gives successful results if there are enough resources to get fat in waist and abdominal region. The procedure will be much more successful if there is another session within a year after the operation.

How long does the oil injection last?

Approximate duration of oil injection is 1 hour. Calming medicines may be used to relieve the patient. Moreover, the operation must be done in a sterile environment.

Is Fat Cells Storage Possible?

It is possible that increased fat in oil injection can be stored in sterile tubes under appropriate cooling conditions. Injection with stored oils can be done again. Even if it is preferred by patients because of the lack of repetition of the fat intake process, the use of freshly received fats in the reprocessing process will be healthier. It is a better choice to stay in the human body than in the tubes. If the oils are not taken fresh and used, the risk of infection will increase and the chances of success for the injection will decrease.

What should be taken into account before proceeding?

Prior to the injection, aspirin-like blood thinners should be kept away for ten days. The doctor should always be informed about the medicines the patient uses and the important disturbances he / she has suffered.

How Long is Hospital Duration?

Even if general anesthesia is applied in the oil injection process, the patient may be discharged on the same day without having to stay in hospital after the procedure.

What should be done and what to do after surgery?

Cold application is started immediately after the operation in order to reduce swelling in the region where the oil injection is applied. Cold application is done by circulating ice cube bags or special jellies every 15 minutes or per hour.

In particular, the first two days after the procedure may be greater than the amount of swelling injected in the administration site, but the swelling will decrease over time. This time may be slightly longer in the liposome injections and some more swelling may be seen. The area where the surgery is performed can be started to be washed the next day of surgery and a moisturizing cream can be applied to the area. After 4 to 5 days of operation it may be helpful to lightly massage the area to dissipate the swelling. It is necessary to stay away from these environments after surgery because it increases the heat and steam swelling.

With the exception of the first few days after surgery, fat injection will not cause difficulties that will affect the daily life of the patient. Due to the risk of possible edema, bruising and swelling, the first two days should be a little more weighted.

Small bands placed in the areas designated as entry points for injection can be taken within a few hours after operation or the day after the operation. It is recommended to use protective antibiotics for five days after the procedure.

In the first period after the procedure, a fuller image may appear than the injected oil. Although there is a small operation, edema in the area is normal. This edema is independent of oil injection. As time goes by, the edema dissipates rapidly and disappears. Tissue enlargement procedures using oil injection are permanent.

What Are The Problems That Can Come Out In Oil Injection?

  • As with every surgery, even if necessary precautions are taken, there is a risk of infection after the oil injection. Infection; pain, redness in the area, elevation of body temperature, tenderness. Infection can be treated with appropriate antibiotics.
  • After a while, the spread of some of the fat leads to loss of fullness in the region. In this case, the injection can be repeated. Like the distribution of fats, melting in oils will be homogeneous. Asymmetry in the field is very rare.
  • Rarely, excessive sensitivity or numbness can be seen in the area. In such cases, the area can be softened with massages, and it can be recovered more quickly.
  • The superficial application of the oil injection may cause color change in the region where the process is performed. This is a very difficult situation to compensate. Therefore, close to the surface and repetitive injections should be avoided.
  • Even if it is a very weak possibility, excessive oil injection to a certain point or failure to properly deliver the oil may cause the oil to turn into masses that can be handled in groups. This may be more common in regions such as the eyelid where the skin is very deep. Treatment with drugs that reduce tissue edema and massage can be provided.
